WELSH THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE

THREE PEAKS

SNOWDON – CADAIR IDRIS – PEN Y FAN

Mr. Tim Stickland suffered a heart attack during spring bank holiday in May 2017. After being discharged from Morriston Hospital five days later, he spent a further six weeks resting ar home. Then he was introduced to a twelve week course of rehabilitation at Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen. His visits to the Cardiac Rehab department built up his confidence to undertake a 9 mile walk in April 2018.

On the 29th and 30th June he decided to attempt the Welsh Three Peaks challenge, and he reached the summit. Although his past had restricted his activities, he felt that the achievement was due to the support given by the staff at Glangwili Hospital and especially the Cardiac Rehab Team.

In the picture is Tim and the team which reached the summit. He donated £800 to Calon+ after the event.
